Now I have gone and done it! I told my friend Amy that I will sign up to do this http://runforyourlives.com/ with her in September. Who would like to join us? I have started training already by walking 2 miles today. My plan is to walk/run/bicycle on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, then do strength/agility training on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Sundays will be for rest, relaxation and remodeling.

I love the convenience of pre-cut lettuce and the fun of buying different varieties of fresh greens. However, I really HATE to throw out greens that have gotten soggy and soft.
If you want to eat more of the greens that you bring home, try this easy trick. Put two or three paper towels in the bag with them. For even better results, put the greens in a fresh ziplock bag with your paper towels.
The towels absorb the moisture, keeping it off the leaves, but since they are both in the bag, the greens get to enjoy the humidity they prefer. Ta-da. ,more yummy goodness for you.

Today is time for a new start. I have fallen into a rut. It is time to change that. It is time to do things for me. I am going to focus on goals that will lead toward a good retirement for Tom and I. Not only do I want to be physically healthy, I want to be healthier mentally and spiritually. Just taking time to stop and look at where we are going and how I can help us get there.
